Opera GX – Opera GX is a special version of the Opera browser designed to complement gaming. The browser includes unique features to help you get the most out of your gaming and web browsing experience. Until recently, it was possible to select and configure the Light theme in the browser. But for some reason, the developers abandoned this function (however, it has already returned!). Users can now customize more than just the color scheme. It includes elements of the Opera GX interface: dividing lines, button borders, icons. In the normal setting mode, 10 presets are available, in the advanced mode, a full color palette is available.

Peculiarities

GX CONTROL
Need the full power of your computer? No more need to close your browser. GX Control allows you to limit how much memory and CPU your browser will consume.
By default, the RAM limiter aims to strike a balance between memory usage and network quality. The browser will attempt to stay at or below the selected memory limit, but will prioritize web quality over the required memory limit. For example, if a browser can support playing a stream or file in the cloud, it will allow memory consumption to slightly exceed the limit. The “Hard Limit” setting forces the browser to stay at the selected memory limit no matter what. The browser will not exceed the selected memory limit for any reason, even if it means sacrificing your web browsing experience.
The CPU Limiter allows you to set a limit on the number of processes on your computer that the browser uses so that the rest can be saved for games. The purpose of both GX Control features is to give you the ability to always keep your browser open, even if you’re playing or streaming a resource intensive game.

TWITCH INTEGRATION
Never miss a stream. With Twitch right in your Sidebar, you can easily see the channels you follow, who’s online, and get notified when someone starts a new stream.

GX SOUND
Opera GX has sound effects built into the browser. Sound effects can be turned on and off in the settings.

GX DESIGN
You can customize your browser as you wish: choose any color, different special effects and themes.

BUILT-IN MESSENGERS
Chat and surf sites simultaneously with built-in Facebook, Telegram, Vkontakte and WhatsApp messengers right on the Sidebar.

VIDEO POP-UP
Watch Twitch and YouTube in the video popup. The video will play in a separate pop-up window in the background of your tabs and other apps.
